Last Friday, August 3th, researcher Leslie Vallejos, part of the project Bee Health Latam 2020 team, presented at the Thirteenth Latin American Congress of Beekeeping, held in the city of Montevideo in Uruguay, the talk “Pilot training on health gaps, aimed at beekeepers in the Metropolitan Region in Chile,” giving an update on the progress and implementation of the educational program conducted in Lampa, San Jose de Maipo and Pirque since August 2017.

“As a team, we wanted to show what has been done in Chile, in order to expand the project throughout Latin America,” says Leslie.

The Apicultural Health project seeks to provide training and links between beekeepers, with the purpose of reaching a more sustainable beekeeping with healthy beehives.
